After witnessing the dedication you each displayed during the Boys Planet process – it’s so exciting to meet the hardworking lineup of ZEROBASEONE! Now that you’ve had time to process that incredible win, what would you each say is the most meaningful thing you’ve learned from that experience?

The experience made me think once again that I have to set my direction and goals clearly to approach my dreams faster. And I realized how important the power of “thinking” is. Even the most subtle differences can completely change the feelings or atmosphere it gives. Since I get to monitor myself more now, I can see better what emotions I feel when I’m on stage. So nowadays, I try not to hide my feelings, and just accept them as they come!

<보이즈 플래닛> 경험을 통해서 배운 것은 무엇인가요?

꿈을 위해 목표라는 것을 확실하게 정하는 게 정말 중요하다 느꼈어요. ‘생각하는 것’ 또한 얼마나 막강한지 느꼈구요. 가장 작은 차이도 분위기를 정반대로 바꿔버릴 수 있으니까요. 이젠 제 자신을 모니터링 할 수 있어서 무대 위 제 자신이 어떤 감정을 느꼈는지 더 자세히 볼 수 있어요. 그래서 최근엔 제 감정을 검열하려 하지 않습니다. 느끼는 그대로 받아들여요.

Separately, you’ve each partaken in several iconic stages during Boys Planet, but as a complete group – we’re finally getting to see the potential of ZB1’s matchless chemistry! Now that you’ve joined forces, what are a few characteristics that feel exclusive to ZEROBASEONE?

I have pride in our team’s visuals. It’s not just about their physical appearance, but they know how to present themselves in a more charming and attractive way. And I think it takes talent to do this. But our biggest standout characteristic is that we keep our discussions constructive because many of us are positive and calm.

제로베이스원만이 가지고 있는 장점, 혹은 개성은 무엇인가요?

저는 저희 팀의 비주얼에 자부심을 가지고 있는데요! 외적 피지컬도 물론 자랑스럽지만, 멤버들 모두 본인들이 어떻게 해야 더 멋있고 매력있는지 표현하는 방법을 잘 알고 있는 것 같아요. 이건 재능이라고 생각하거든요. 하지만 가장 눈에 띄는 장점은 아무래도 팀의 차분하고 긍정적인 에너지 덕에 대화가 산으로 가지 않고 건설적으로 유지되는 점인 것 같아요.

Let’s dive into your music a bit! When you first listened to the demo of your title track, what parts were you most eager to tackle and make your own?

I wanted to sing the part “Despite how in the most beautiful way / You radiate over the whole world / They say nothing is eternal / In the end, all will fade”. It could be interpreted in many ways, but I think it could mean that we should appreciate the present, which is why I found it relatable and also very touching.

처음 데모를 들었을때, 무조건 본인 파트로 만들고 싶던 라인이 있나요?

[ 가장 아름답게 / 세상을 다 물들여도 / 영원한 건 없대 / 결국엔 모두 시들테니 ] 파트를 정말 부르고 싶었어요. 개개인마다 여러 의미로 해석 될 수 있겠지만, 저는 ‘지금 이 순간을 최대한으로 즐기자’ 라고 받아들였기 때문에 되게 감동을 받아가지구, 공감도 됐구요.

Since a mini-album offers extra room for artistic expression and individuality – what would you each say was the most satisfying track to listen to when everything was finalized?

I really like the topline of “In Bloom”, but the lyrics are what I like the most. The words are not used that commonly and the language resonates with my personal thoughts.
